We are aware that local water sources are intended for different uses - environmental, economic and social. Therefore, we manage the respective permits with full respect for the communities' right to benefit from such uses, and we try to minimise any impact that may occur.
Our practices and standards of water management are framed in the directives of our headquarters and the environmental guidelines of the ICMM, with the objective to use water resources efficiently. The reuse of contact water, the minimisation of the use of fresh water and the control of sediments have become strategic and responsible practices for our management of impacts at the water level.
